The board at home is not the board at the local

Practise like you will play

  • Keep setup honest: 5'8" bull, 7'9¼" oche. If home is short, you are training a different game.
  • Do not only throw at a new board. A slightly tired 20 is more like the local.
  • Play 501 to a double, not endless 20s. Checkouts under a bit of noise (radio is enough).
  • Take your darts. Borrowed brass is a different barrel.

Etiquette, short

Wait. Don’t walk in front of a thrower. Don’t pull darts that are not yours. The pub page is the longer version. Home vs pub is not a ranking — it is two rooms. Build the home one so the pub still feels like darts, not like a different sport.
